Cerebral palsy symptoms vary from individual to individual. The severity and area of the brain injured will determine
what type of cerebral palsy symptoms might be experienced.
When cerebral palsy exists it has occurred because brain
damage and the cerebral palsy symptoms are impaired
control of movement and motor function.
When
brain injury leading to cerebral palsy occurs the
baby has sustained the injury before birth, during
birth, or shortly after birth and the parents and
physician may not even notice any cerebral palsy symptoms
right away. Characterized by different cerebral palsy
symptoms, if overlooked at first the parents are usually
the first ones to notice signs a baby begins to develop.
Often times, the first signs of cerebral palsy symptoms
show up in a baby's lack of response to noises or
show a lack of facial expressions.
Most
cerebral palsy symptoms will be apparent around three
months. As the baby grows older, cerebral palsy symptoms
will become more obvious as a child may not make the
developmental strides as quickly as the average baby.
A physician will begin treatment as soon as possible
to help the child suffering with cerebral palsy symptoms.
